Tomas Berdych value to land ATP World Tour Finals

Although Roger Federer and Andy Murray are worthy of their positions at the head of the ATP World Tour Finals market Tomas Berdych looks rather attractively priced at 23.00 with Bet 365 to cause an upset.

Berdych opens his quest to take the title against Novak Djokovic on Monday evening and that could well be the right time to be playing the Serbian. The World Number One has been suffering with shoulder problems of late and had to withdraw from the Paris Masters just over a week ago. Practice sessions will have been limited and ring-rustiness could come into play.

If you take a look at our 'wiki' content for Tomas Berdych you'll notice that he holds a decent record against Andy Murray, winning their last three contests. In fact if head to head records mean anything to you then Berdych could find David Ferrer the most troublesome in his group.

The fact is I can see Berdych winning at least two of his group matches and advancing to the semi-finals. Once there it's very possible he'd meet either Roger Federer or my idea of the second qualifier from Group B Jo Wilfried Tsonga.

Tomas Berdych has won three of the last five matches when facing Roger Federer and came out on top the only time he faced Jo Wilfried Tsonga. It must be said that Berdych's head to head record against Rafael Nadal is poor, but with the Spaniard not seeing much action of late it's more than possible he doesn't escape from his group.

So to summarise I think Andy Murray and Roger Federer are in-form, injury free and the most likely winners of this tournament, however if pushed for a third choice it would clearly be Tomas Berdych and his current odds look more than double what I would want to lay.

Recommendation: Back Tomas Berdych @ 23.00 with Bet 365
