Snoqualmie can star in Doncaster handicap

I’m interested to see which way Heaven Forbid goes in the betting on her handicap bow, as she shaped with considerable promise on her debut at Yarmouth, and while she hasn’t progressed as one hoped she might in two starts since, she remains capable of better.

However, a better value option may prove to be SNOQUALMIE STAR, who shaped with promise in three starts as a 2yo and was not discredited when 7½ lengths sixth of 15 to Gobama on her return and handicap debut at Newmarket (1m) last month. She has been eased 2lb since and, moreover, will relish the step up to this trip if her pedigree is anything to go by.

Punters had their fingers burnt with Flag Of Glory at Newmarket last time, as he was 7lb ahead of the handicapper under a penalty following g his clear-cut reappearance win at Bath (1m). I’m not entirely convinced he will stay this trip, though, and now reassessed he needs to find improvement.

Recommendation: SNOQUALMIE STAR
