Rory McIlroy odds-on to land 2011 US Masters title

A steady if unspectacular round of 70 by Rory McIlroy was enough to ease him into a four shot lead as all his main rivals disappointed on a day when low scores were hard to come by.

The expected charges of Tiger Woods and Lee Westwood failed to materialise with both men shooting 74 and therefore leaving themselves a mountain to climb on Sunday evening.

Paddy Power offer the best price on a Rory McIlroy victory at 1.73 with Tiger Woods now available at 29.00 with Bet 365 and Lee Westwood as big as 151.00 with most leading bookmakers.

Four players currently share second place on eight under par, with former champion Angel Cabrera making the biggest move after a blistering 67, which included six birdies. Charl Schwartzel, KJ Choi and Jason Day are the other players four adrift and hoping for McIlroy to slip up in the final round.

Perhaps the best value heading into this evening lies with unflappable Englishmen Luke Donald who carded a 69 to move to seven under par and at 13.00 with Bet 365, Ladbrokes and Boylesports will surely have his supporters.

Donald played the four par fives in level par yesterday so will be looking to improve on that tonight and put himself into a position to challenge over the last few holes. He looks a decent trading proposition to me as I can see him at some point shortening to around half his current odds.
