The Oscar for Best Art Direction has Inception at 5/2 with Ladbrokes, this looks overpriced with the favourite The Kings Speech expected to scoop other Oscars.
Inception the Leonardo Di Caprio thriller was an innovative and unique film that baffled and confused many cinema goers. Box Offices around the world reported tickets being bought a second time as customers chose to watch the film again in an attempt to find out what really happened. Whether this was in our subconscious or a ruse by the filmmakers it worked very well. Beautifully shot it communicated the tension and mood of the plot stylishly at all times without constantly using CGI.
It would be a major shock to many if Inception didn’t win Best Art Direction
