Napoli Not To Be Underestimated Against Full Strength Man City

Man City may be cruising in the Premiership but qualification for the knockout stage of the Champions League is still far from guaranteed in their maiden season in the competition. City's remaining matches in the group are away to Napoli and home to Bayern Munich, a loss here would leave City needing to beat Bayern Munich to be able to qualify. A draw would still leave City with problems but a win guarantees City a place in the next round with a game to spare so we should see an attacking display from the away side in this match knowing that it is just about a must win game.

Roberto Mancini has almost a full squad to choose from, Owen Hargreaves and Carlos Tevez probably wouldn't have been considered anyway but Hargreaves is ineligible having not been registered for the Champions League squad whilst Carlos Tevez remains absent from the club. City will have to be wary of Edinson Cavani, the Uruguayan forward scored Napoli's goals at Eastlands and although he has not been in as good form this season as he was last season he remains a major goal threat.

Napoli are underachieving a little this season, they currently sit in ninth place which is a surprise after such a good season last year, however if they win their game in hand they can move up to fifth place. Domestically their form has been mixed this season, they have won two, drawn two and lost two from their last six league games but they have been strong at home in this competition, beating Villarreal 2-0 and then picking up a 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich. City don't seem as strong in the Champions League so far as they have been in the Premiership and a reproduction of their performances so far in the Champions League would probably result in a loss. The bookies seem to be taking a bit of a chance on Napoli's price given they have home advantage so back Napoli to pick up a surprise win in this match and at the very least you should get a very good run for your money.

Recommendation: BACK NAPOLI TO BEAT MAN CITY
