Inter Milan desperately need three points against Siena on Sunday, but a draw is the likely outcome

Despite having played 10 times of the Serie A season, Inter Milan has yet to secure successive victories, and currently languish in sixteenth place in the table. On the upside, they’re unbeaten in their last five in all competitions, and qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League as winners of their group during the week. However, Claudio Ranieri will know that anything less than a victory at the Stadio Comunale Artemio Franchi against Siena on Sunday afternoon will be considered a disaster.

The task facing the Nerazzurri is no easy one, though. Indeed, Giuseppe Sannino's men have conceded fewer goals than any other side in the Scudetto so far this term, and have tasted defeat on just one match in their own backyard during the 2011/12 campaign to date. Conversely, Ranieri’s charges have conceded the most amount of goals this season, with an average of 1.7 per game against them. Recent results suggest that the ship is steadying, but there’s still plenty of work for its trajectory to be as the hierarchy would want it – towards the Scudetto summit.

The Bianconeri currently occupy a respectable position in the table – they’re currently eleventh in the Italian top-flight pecking order – and have made a habit of drawing matches; five of their 11 league fixtures this term have ended all square, and there’s a good chance that this game will end up the same. As such, the 3.29 on offer with Pinnacle about a draw in the full time result market is appealing, but 1-1 in the correct score market is a more appealing bet, about which Boylesports, Victor Chandler and William Hill all go a tempting 6.50.

Recommendation: 1-1 in the correct score market
