History Should Repeat Itself In Wales v Montenegro

Wales will not only have the support of their own fans on Friday night but also England fans, Wales have a big opportunity to do England a big favour by taking points off the second placed team in Group G. Wales now have little chance of qualification having lost all their games so far but there is still plenty of pride to play for. Perhaps the most worrying aspect of qualifying for Wales is the lack of goals, they have scored just once so far in four matches and that has left them with a minus seven goal difference.

Star man for Wales Gareth Bale is fit, he missed a large chunk of last season and failed to show his best form when returning towards the end of the season but he has looked much sharper in Tottenham's pre season and that will be a big boost for Wales. So will the return to the starting line up of Aaron Ramsey, the sale of Cesc Fabregas and Samir Nasri from Arsenal has made Ramsey an important fixture in Arsenal's midfield and Wales should soon reap the benefits of that. Craig Bellamy is another who should be back playing more regular Premiership football this term after he joined Liverpool on transfer deadline day and that could see him play an even more important role for Wales in future matches.

The thing that stands out from Montenegro's qualification campaign is their ruthless efficiency, all three of their wins have been by 1-0 scorelines whilst they also draw 0-0 with England and 1-1 with Bulgaria. The fact that they have conceded just once in five games so far whilst Wales have scored just once in four games suggests a clean sheet could be a formality for Montenegro. The fact that they are also struggling to score more than the single goal at the moment suggests 1-0, a repeat of the score in the first game between the sides, looks by far the most likely outcome and is a nice price in the correct score betting for this match.

Recommendation: BACK MONTENEGRO TO BEAT WALES 1-0
