Eurovision Betting Sparks Into Life With Amaury Vassili For France Supported

Eurovision 2011 has seen many countries choose their singers and songs much earlier than previous years and we have a great chance of assessing who has chosen well and which countries will be receiving "nil points"

Gambles have already taken place on France, Estonia, Norway, Russia and the UK. The strongest of these seem to be for France and Estonia with the French plumping for an operatic song performed byAmaury Vassili a 22 year old professional tenor. France can currently be backed at 5/1 with Victor Chandler and with each way terms of 1/4 of the odds 1-2-3-4 this looks a bet worth making today. France has been accused of not taking the competition seriously in recent years but in 2011 they look to have finally got their act together.

Estonia the small Baltic nation have chosen a catchy typical Eurovision song in Rockefeller Street sung by the attractive Getter Jaani. On offer at 7/1 with William Hill it was available at double figures at the beginning of March and has seen steady support. Not as worthy as the French offering but it will get points especially from its neighbours and is a good Eurovision Bet.

The UK have opted for an established group in Blue, their song I Can is an anthemic R&B number and such is the desire of the UK to win Eurovision that bettors have started backing it. However the song may not be quite good enough at the current odds of 7/1 with Boylesports, we see it as more of a song that could place but not win.
