Delray Beach International: Del Potro out to win first tournament since comeback

Former world number four Juan Martin del Potro will this evening play in his first final since returning from a wrist injury when he bids to win the Delray Beach International Tennis Championships title. Del Potro has yet to drop a set in this tournament and despatched the second-seeded American Mardy Fish 6-1 7-5 with the minimum of fuss. In this kind of form, he will take some stopping.

His opponent, Serbian Janko Tipsarevic, has reached his first ATP final, a decent performance given his total mental collapse in the Australian Open, where after serving for the match three sets to love, went on instead to lose 3-2. That still weighs heavy on the mind though and so this may be another learning experience for Tipsarevic.

The pairing have met once before in Miami during 2009, where Del Potro won comfortably 6-4 6-1.

Betting wise, then there is little meat on the bone at 1/5 about the Argentine winning the match but much more appealing is the 8/13 offered by Paddy Power about a 2 sets to love victory.

Recommendation: Juan Martin del Potro to win match 2-0 8/13 (1.62) Paddy Power
