ITV1 have revamped Dancing On Ice for 2011 with new judges and an altered more exciting format. Betting on the show is expected to hit record amounts and rival the X Factor and Big Brother in popularity. The full list of celebrity skaters has been revealed and we have the usual suspects of reality stars, soap actors and people looking for a boost to their flagging careers. All will be hoping to win the show and emulate previous winners Hayley Tamaddon, Ray Quinn, Suzanne Shaw, Kyran Bracken and Gaynor Faye.

Early betting favourite is ex East Ender Sam Attwater, he was not one of the leading lights and if you blinked you could miss him in the square of the BBC soap. He is around the 5/1 mark with Ladbrokes on Valuechecker but has been installed at shorter odds with other firms. Next in the current betting is Laura Hamilton a presenter on a variety of television shows including Nickelodeon and GMTV. Her website states Laura is a keen Skier and Snowboarder so she should be able to handle the conditions and maybe she should be the Dancing On Ice favourite.

Other Celebs towards the head of the betting include Jennifer Metcalfe from Hollyoaks, she plays scheming top totty Mercedes Mcqueen and will be a hit with the male audience and according to the betting is expected to be one of the favourites with the judges. Jeff Brazier ex husband of the brilliant and much missed Jade Goody will also be showing his skating prowess and tabloid bad girl Kerry Katona will be looking to restore her reputation after being hounded by the Press for over a decade. They are on offer before a blade has hit the rink at best prices of 8/1, 10/1 and 12/1 respectively.

Bigger prices bring in Johnson Beharry, Chloe Madeley, Elen Rivas, Angela Rippon, Nadia Sawalha, Steven Arnold, David Vitty, Craig McLachlan, Denise Welch and Dominic Cork and all are quoted on Valuechecker. The biggest Dancing On Ice price on offer is for rapper Vanilla Ice. He is 33/1 with Ladbrokes, Vanilla (or Ice) is best known for the hit Ice Ice Baby so it’s possible he has an affinity for the freezing stuff if that’s what the record means?

If we study previous winners, we have had two male and three female winners of  Dancing On Ice, so 2010 should be the turn for one of the boy skaters. Betting is available between boys and girls, and also who will finish in the top three as well as the overall Dancing On Ice Champion.
