Birmingham Have Great Opportunity To See Off Club Brugge On Thursday

Considering Birmingham are having to balance the Europa League with Championship football this season it is a little surprising to see them doing well in this competition, they currently sit joint top in their group but Chris Hughton is still playing down their chances in the tournament suggesting that they are not even one of the favourites to qualify from this group, a win here against Club Brugge, who also have six points in the group, would be a big result for Birmingham.

Chris Hughton is hoping that Wade Elliott and Pablo Ibanez will be involved on Thursday night, Elliott has been out of action since sustaining a calf injury against Club Brugge two weeks ago but could feature in this match whilst Ibanez has also been missing for two weeks, this time with concussion. Morgaro Gomis and Jordon Mutch will both miss out whilst several other players will require late fitness tests to decide their participation.

Birmingham's late winner in Brugge two weeks ago was a huge goal for them and the fact that they will able to go to Belgium and beat tonight's opposition, albeit narrowly, suggests Birmingham can be expected to pick up another crucial three points in this group at St Andrews, Birmingham are a good price to win this game and with some key players returning they look a decent bet to see off Club Brugge in this fixture.

Recommendation: BACK BIRMINGHAM TO BEAT CLUB BRUGGE
