AW Racing Tips for Lingfield & Wolves

12.10 Lingfield – Every race has a winner and although Adjaad and Pipers Piping are best in at the weights, there is a reason to take them on with QUERIDO. The logic being that Nathan Alison is 5-44 riding at Lingfield whilst his rivals are 0-62 collectively. A tenuous argument, perhaps, but finding the non-obvious clues is sometimes a good strategy.

1.10 Lingfield
STORM RUNNER has really found his feet of late, beating big fields twice at Kempton. Has form here also and fancied to beat these 6-rivals and complete the hat-trick.

1.40 Lingfield
Kai Mook looks to hold a decent chance on the ratings here and is worth a bet but VINCES is also worth a second look. Hasn’t won for nearly 2-years but has always gone best over CD and with Hayley Turner in the saddle; a combination he gets today. On a career-low mark and possible that an 8-week break will have freshened him up.

2.10 LingfieldLASER BLAZER has only had 5-races to date and his 6th of 12 last time represented his best effort. Takes a hold and usually held up for a late run so quite possible the switch to Lingfield will suit him. Idol Deputy rates the danger.

2.40 Lingfield – Plenty with chances here including the top weight IVORY SILK. This mare has an average win record but has been in the first 3 in 10/15 at class 5 level. Capable rider claims 7 lb today (rode her 4 times previously of marks 6-10 lb higher) and she really ought to be competitive at least from a good draw.

3.45 Lingfield
- BUXTON has probably been on my to follow list too long already but I remain convinced he will exploit his mark soon and Lingfield is his track on the AW. Dropping back to 7f from a mile may just do the trick if things pan out.

3.50 WolvesPeace Seeker has major claims after a pair of effortless wins but possibly there will be more value in taking him on with EXCELLENT AIM. A wind-op in the summer has done the trick with this 4-y-o and his trainer George Margarson expects further success off this kind of mark.

4.20 Wolves
– As one who put up NO MEAN TRICK on ValueChecker in November, only for him to be withdrawn that day and then finding he had won at 66/1 here without carrying my money, I am not in the fan club. However, we move on and I have to think a 2 lb raise for that is generous enough for him to go in again; not at 66/1 though!

6.20 Wolves
– I suspect the 3-y-o IF YOU WHISPER has races in him and he could be the value in this handicap. Hard to conclusively say that blinkers helped on his penultimate start and no show at Southwell last time. Still, eased a few pounds and back on polytrack with stall 1 to exit from so reasons to be hopeful if not confident.

Recommendation: As above
