Arsenal's Chance Of Beating Dortmund Revolves Around Van Persie

Arsenal can book their place in the next round of the Champions League with a win at the Emirates on Wednesday night but top spot in the group cannot be guaranteed until the final match. Last season Arsenal finished runners up of their group and drew Barcelona in the second round, Barcelona have knocked Arsenal out of the competition for the last two years and Arsenal will be keen to avoid Barcelona and other likely group winners when the draw is made for the second round, a win in this match would go a long way to making that happen.

Abou Diaby has recovered from an ankle injury and is back in contention for the Gunners but Arsene Wenger will be without Tomas Rosicky who is out with a thigh problem. Arsenal are light in the full back department with Carl Jenkinson unavailable because of a back injury and Bacary Sagna still out with a broken ankle so Laurent Koscielny should start at right back. Arsenal will come up against Mario Gotze who has been strongly linked with a move to the Emirates, he scored the only goal of the game in Dortmund's win over Bayern Munich at the weekend and he will be keen to impress in this match.

Dortmund scored a last minute equaliser in the reverse fixture in Germany and since then Arsenal have really hit top form, winning seven and drawing one from their last eight matches. Despite Dortmund's win against Bayern Munich they have not been in great form this season and with home advantage you'd expect Arsenal to win. However Arsenal's chances of winning may revolve around the inclusion of the massively in form Robin Van Persie, he was rested for Arsenal's draw against Marseille recently which was the only match they haven't won in this run of good form. A better bet therefore may be Van Persie to score anytime, he if doesn't play stakes will be returned, if he does play then he looks extremely likely to score.

Recommendation: BACK ROBIN VAN PERSIE TO SCORE ANYTIME
