Andorra should hold no fears for the Republic of Ireland

The Republic of Ireland face a crucial five day period beginning Friday when they face Group B whipping boys Andorra away and then host Armenia the following Wednesday in two games that will hopefully pave their way to the Euro 2012 finals. Victory in those two matches will ensure at least a play-off spot, but should Russia drop any points away to Slovakia then automatic qualification is on the cards for Giovanni Trapattoni's men.

Team news ahead of the game is mixed for Ireland with the good news being that John O'Shea has been passed fit to play, while John Walters is a major doubt with an ankle knock and Richard Dunne is suspended.

For Andorra they are likely to be without Manuel Jiminez, Xavi Andorra and Jordi Rubio through injury while Marc Vales will miss the match through suspension.

Although Andorra have lost all eight matches played so far they've only conceded a total of eight goals in their four home games against Armenia, Macedonia, Russia and Slovakia. The home side are known to be a physically strong team and their pitch can present problems with it's bumpy patches and uneven bounce. Taking all that into account I think the safest option here would be to back 2-0 and 3-0 wins for the Republic of Ireland at 6.00 and 6.50 with Ladbrokes.

Recommendation: Back Republic of Ireland to win 2-0 and 3-0 with Ladbrokes
