American Idol Betting As Simon Cowell Is Missed

American Idol 2011 is missing Simon Cowell, the show has lacked oomph and is missing his "I Don’t Mean To Be Rude But" honesty. The current panel has Randy Jackson in the Cowell role supported by Jennifer Lopez and  SteveTyler. Simon Cowell was American Idol, the other judges were bit players and the show needs its figurehead back.

The 2011 series has also seemed to have not found a stand out contestant yet, betting is very open as we reach the final stages. Current favourite is country singer Scott Mcreery at around 3/1, he has been backed from much bigger odds but at this stage doesn’t seem a sure fire winner. He has been consistent but the American Idol contract is not yet his and he seems very old for his 18 years. However Country music fans will support him to the hilt and if they tune in to the show he could win by a landslide.

If a female idol is to win then it looks between Pia Tosacno who performed the Pretenders classic I'll Stand By You to rapturous applause and displaced favourite 16 Year old Lauren Alaina as top female. Randy compared Lauren to Kelly Clarkson and she is the most naturally talented and has what it takes to command a stage, she looks the value bet to win at around 6/1 and we expect her best weeks are ahead of her.

The raw James Durbin and gifted grungy Casey Abrams have drifted in the betting and need strong performances to be serious American Idol contenders. Other finalists look to be also ran’s unless they quickly step up to the Idol plate.

Recommendation: Back Lauren Alaina At Value American Idol Odds
